As the founder of Bluejay Grief Counseling & Services, LLC, I am a Certified Grief Counselor and Educator dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate the complex challenges of loss. My work is grounded in more than a decade of spiritual care and professional chaplaincy services, including service as a hospice chaplain, a hospital chaplain and a U.S. Army Reserve Chaplain. Prior to launching my grief counseling and chaplain career, for a decade, my career was in customer service in corporate America setting. I have been married to my wife for almost two decades and we are blessed with three children.<\/p>\n

Over the years, I have sat with people in some of life\u2019s most difficult moments\u2014holding space for their stories, offering emotional and spiritual support, and helping them move through grief with dignity and compassion. These experiences shaped my commitment to provide high-quality, accessible grief counseling for those seeking guidance, healing, and hope.<\/p>\n

My approach integrates clinical knowledge, trauma-informed practices, and the compassionate presence shaped by years of ministry and chaplaincy. Whether I am offering individual grief counseling, couples grief counseling, or group grief support, I work to create a safe, non-judgmental environment where every person feels seen, heard, and understood.<\/p>\n

Through this work, my purpose is simple: to help people process their loss, rebuild their emotional and spiritual strength, and rediscover meaning after grief. I believe healing is possible\u2014not by forgetting what or whom we\u2019ve lost, but by honoring those memories while learning to move forward with resilience and clarity.<\/p>\n

My Approach<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

As a Certified Grief Educator and Chaplain, my approach to grief care is grounded in compassion, presence, and deep respect for each person\u2019s unique story. I understand that grief is not a problem to be fixed, but a human experience that must be witnessed, processed, and honored.<\/span><\/p>\n

My counseling approach is person-centered and holistic<\/strong>, recognizing that grief affects the emotional, spiritual, relational, and even physical dimensions of life. I create a safe and supportive environment where individuals and families can speak openly about their loss, explore difficult emotions, and begin to find meaning and hope in the midst of pain.<\/span><\/p>\n

Drawing from my years of experience as a chaplain in the military, hospice care, and hospital settings, I value empathetic listening, dignity, and non-judgmental support<\/strong>. Every person grieves differently, and I believe counseling should respect each individual\u2019s pace, beliefs, and cultural background.<\/span><\/p>\n
