TODAY’S REFLECTION

Grief touches every one of us, often quietly and unexpectedly. In the demanding work of caring for others, we may feel pressure to stay strong or to set aside our own sorrow. Yet, even in our deepest pain, we are not meant to carry our burdens alone.

In times of loss, the help of our community through caring companionship is sacred. The divine becomes even closer to us during grief. “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18). God draws near, not distant or passive, but present with us in the challenging places in our lives.

There is a sense of comfort in the assurance that our grief is shared both by God and by those around us. Mutual support reminds us that healing often begins in the simple act of walking alongside one another.

In the Christian faith traditions, Jesus’ tears at the death of His friend Lazarus affirms that mourning is a sacred expression of love, and that God understands our sorrow from the inside out.

TODAY’S QUESTION

How do you process your grief? Grief unfolds in non-linear ways, and so does the process of grieving.”

TODAY’S INVITATION

You are invited today to consider the universal truth that none of us were created to navigate grief in isolation. We are held by the presence of the Divine, and we are held by one another.

TODAY’S MEDITATION

May this reflection remind you that your grief is seen, your pain is valid, and companionship for spiritual and emotional support is available to you. You don’t have to grieve alone.
